Day 32: WE MADE IT!

We made it! 34.5 weeks and Little Buddy is scheduled to be induced tomorrow morning for his arrival! Brent made it back in time so we ars thankful!

 I was allowed to go outside and walk a few minutes tonight to get ready for his arrival tomorrow!

We are praying for a safe, smooth and hopefully pretty fast delivery! He will head down to NICU just after he is born and Brent will go with him. I will be able to go down and see him hopefully an hour or two after he is born. We will know more day by day about his NICU stay as they see how he is doing with his breathing, eating and keeping his body temperature up and we are praying for no complications!
All glory to God for keeping he and I safe this past 4 weeks and so thankful He is with us still in the day to day that is up ahead in this journey with our Little Buddy!

Day 31: Bed Rest

Well, I woke up this morning having some contractions so other than sitting up to eat very quickly, I have basically been on the bed all day. So far that seems to have lessened the contractions some. I am trying to make it at least several more hours until Brent can make it back from his trip so we are praying this bed rest helps me make it through today with Little Buddy still safely in my tummy!

Day 30: An Extra Ultrasound and 30 Days Here!

This morning, I was talking with one of my doctors and she decided to do one more ultrasound to check on Little Buddy and his position in my tummy. It was a nice surprise to get to see him one more time! He is still head down and was hiding his face ( again!) at first but the sonographer had me turn on my side and there was his sweet face. I have carried 5 children to this point and I watched him yawn on the ultrasound. That was the first time I had ever seen that in all the ultrasounds with all our children that we have had! It was precious! Then following the yawn, he tucked his little fingers in his mouth! We want him to be ready but we are excited to meet this Little Man when it is time!!

34 Weeks Today and the Girls came to visit!

Today was such a good day! I officially made it to 34 weeks and 4 full weeks here in the hospital with Little Buddy still safely on my tummy. Also today Brent and the girls arrived in the afternoon and spent all afternoon and into the evening with me! This was the first time I had seen the girls in 11 days! Oh my, it was so good to see them! They are so brave and have done such a good job in the midst of these very unexpected past 4 weeks!!

I also got to go outside for the first time in 5 days and they brought pizza in for supper. First time I had pizza in 4 weeks too!

 They played "Red light, green light" and a few other games while I watched from the wheelchair.

I got lots of hugs and snuggles and we talked about only 4 days left to go till Little Buddy arrives.

Brent has to travel Saturday and Sunday so we are praying hard that Little Buddy will wait patiently till Monday morning for his arrival! We are almost there...only 4 more days!

Day 28: Still Waiting...Almost A Month In!

Today was a quiet day...just Little Buddy and I hanging out together. Tonight makes 4 weeks to the hour since I arrived at the hospital. So hard to believe it has been 28 days that I have been here and now, hopefully if he cooperates and stays in, we only 5 days left to go!!

Day 27: Last Weekly Ultrasound and Only 6 Days to Go!

This morning we had the last weekly ultrasound we will have before Little Buddy arrives since my ultrasounds are scheduled every Tuesday. He is still head down and was hiding most of his cute little face with his arm today! In his picture, we could see one eye and his nose, otherwise he was hiding behind that arm!

The amniotic fluid amount had increased too so that was good news. As far as we know, they will not measure his growth again by ultrasound before he arrives, so we will just be surprised! I am definitely hoping he is very close to or maybe just a little above 5 pounds!

It is likely that they will check him one more on Monday by ultrasound just to make sure he hasnt turned before they induce if he doesn't decide to come on his own.

We are praying very hard that he waits till Monday to have those few more days of growth and so his Daddy can be here for his arrival! Right now, only 6 more days to go!!

Day 26: Only 7 Days To Go!

It's Monday and a special Monday at that! Today begins Day 26 since we arrived at the hospital on April 3rd and more importantly, today begins the last full week that Little Buddy will ever live in my tummy! Unless he makes his move to arrive before then, we will meet him exactly one week from today! We are so excited and also know that this will bring a whole new journey for our son and our family as he will begin his time in NICU. We are praying lots for his time upcoming in NICU, his safe arrival and hopefully this last full week in my tummy for him to grow even a little more!

33 weeks and 4 days..only 7 days left to go!
