But we are here and thankful that today was only a waiting day. Every day we wait and he grows in my tummy is another day that he grows bigger and stronger, so that is wonderful. We talked to the neonatologist a couple days ago and apparently the outlook for early babies improves greatly from 30 weeks on forward and in God's grace, I turned 30 weeks an hour after I arrived at the hospital! Of course 32 weeks is even better and 34 weeks is even better. If I don't go into labor on my own before then, they will deliver him at 34 weeks either way. So we are praying to make it fully to 34 weeks to meet him with no infection or complications!! But we take it day by day and thank God for another day today that Little Buddy is safely still in my tummy. He and I rested today while Brent headed back to Clinton. Little Buddy and I did get a sweet visit from our friends, The Blevins, who live a little ways outside of Wilmington. So that was a blessing to me today. Of course, I even forgot to get a picture while they were here.
We watched and cheered Virginia on in their Final Four win and had a quiet day
Brent got some good quality time with the girls this afternoon. Life has changed all our plans very quickly and they have done so very well with the transition. I am so very proud of them and what good helpers they have been as they are with our extended family for right now. Our family has been a huge help and blessing and has prayed for us and stepped up to help in every way and we are so thankful for that blessing too. Today, though the girls got lots of Daddy snuggles, outside time and a little bike riding too.
So we thank God for a calmer day and the blessing of being 30 weeks and 2 days and still with Little Buddy safely in my tummy. Continue to pray for us as we try to wait well and trust Jesus with each of these days!
